They sound good, but I would like to see some pictures and videos of them and some real tests. I would like it tremendously if the came out with a 144. As cool as these bikes are, there are not any sanctioning bodies that will let these bikes compete.

General Two Stroke Talk / Dirt Rider needs test riders
« on: July 16, 2010, 08:01:43 PM »
Dirt Rider's Jimmy Lewis asked me to find some riders who would be willing do a bike test involving the KTM 150 and 250F (remember that test that I mentioned some weeks back). If you are interested then you can send me a message with your contact info, so he can call you and make arrangements. It will be soon, like Wed and Thurs of next week. Thanks, let me know.

Yeah this is only a repeat to pacify the two strokers. Don't be fooled by MXA, they are practically owned by the Big 4. They will compare this but they won't dare compare a 150SX (or TM) to a 250F.

Yeah, this was just a bike that the Pro-Circuit guys threw together for no apparent reason.

Does anyone know where to find a test of a fully modified KTM 150SX?

I hear stuff every now and then about Maico, but they don't seem to have any of the bikes racing anywhere.

Why not just get a good used one? Why spend a whole bunch of money on a brand new one, when you could get a good used 2-Stroke for about $2000. Heck, my dream bike would be a new KTM 150, but I can get close to the same kind of fun on my CR250 for a whole lot less. After I ride myself into shape and save a little bit then I'll get a 150. By then, I can probably find a good used one. Two strokes are so easy to update to good running condition, that an updated used one is just as good as a brand new one.

We could start a whole new thread as to why i don't want a "good used one'' I'm just after feedback on the '10 ktm 250sx before spending my hard earned as i've never owned a ktm before.

My bad. The KTM is the most updated 2-stroke. I would wait for the '11 if you're buying new.

Good call to use steel. When are they gonna update the plastic and stop using old Yamaha side panels and rear fender. Granted, I think they look better than Yamaha's new fenders, but updated side panels would add to the looks. Everything else looks good. At least they don't have some stupid looking front fender that sticks up in the front. Are there any other pics of this bike anywhere on the web? When are they gonna have them in the US, or in the SX and MX series? Have they tested any of them yet?
