Thanks for that, Yeah that squish seems real loose. Mine was 1.4 stock.

the SX 250 is looking very sexy with all the billet off the 350 bolted onAny chance you'd share the factory recommendations? I've set the squish at 1.1 on my 300 but would be keen on hearing head volume and ignition.
i am in the process of movies my girls back to Europe for my daughters schooling , so the TM's will be at the house there and the SX 250 will be my ride here in Indonesia .
the SMX is great we had some fitment issues with the scalvini pipe but my mate is sorting it , i also got the squish , head volume and ignition specs from the factory on what to run so that is being done now .
work has been so busy i have not much of a chance to ride it but we have to pay for the toys some how don't we :-}
eprovenzano yes it was the 350 that i was riding , my elbow feels strong as ever now so back on the 2 stroke but my riding fitness has turned to **** damn them 4 strokes make you into a lazy cooont
The hardest 5 yrs of my life was my first year of marriage.Haha Me too, although i could say the hardest 5yrs of my life was my first marriage.
How about Weston Peick?Hell yeah Weston Peick would be perfect. So much natural talent it's crazy, and a realistic chance of being able to sign him.
Excuse my stupidity but whats the difference between C3 & C4? And what does it mean?C3 or C4 refers to the internal clearance in the bearing. A C4 bearing is usually specced for higher heat applications as it has a slightly bigger clearance.
have you checked the tm's airbox is sealed properly , my first piston looked very similar to yours and it was caused by a s#@t seal job at the factory " title="Angry" class="smiley"> " title="Angry" class="smiley"> " title="Angry" class="smiley">Hey Steve welcome. Do you have a TM too?
You dont bore cylinders these days its a nickaseal plated sleeve. In order to go to a bigger piston you half to have a new sleeve installed. You only bore cylinders with steel sleeves.Firstly it's nikasil secondly bikes these days don't have a nikasil plated sleeve as you put it. The nikasil is a very thin coating straight on the alloy barrel, no sleeve. sleeves are steel usually and old school. He want's to go from 125 too 144 or 150 so he's gonna have to bore the cylinder, then either replate or steel sleeve.
yeah saw them, ouch im getting up to 60 hrs now on my piston ,had two rings in the mean time so not so bad but will overhaul before something bad happens ,looks like the new conrods from tm are quite well priced so ill do that and look at a double ringed wossner ,got to figure out what size yet I think my barrel has got a c stamp but last time I pulled it down the piston had size markings for a a stamp so a barrel measure might be required I think.I wouldn't worry too much they'll do 60 hours easy with a couple of ring changes, that piston looks that way because of another problem. I'll post up pics on the other post. I wouldn't bother with the twin ring piston i just use the wossner single ring. Mine doesn't have different sizing options, there's just one size available and it's been sweet as.
