How about Weston Peick?
Hell yeah Weston Peick would be perfect. So much natural talent it's crazy, and a realistic chance of being able to sign him.

Tyla will be on a KTM next year, but on a factory 450 back in Europe.

Wil Hahn has a ride next year as team mate to Eli Tomac out of a 2nd Geico semi.  Although Wil has a 125 he's rebuilding for himself I don't believe he's raced a 2-stroke since super minis.

Realistic guys who would be willing to ride 2-strokes for some money and score points in my opinion?  Robby Marshall (obviously), Jake Canada, Vince Friese, Cole Thompson, Mike Lieb, and Austin Howell.
but none of these riders meet the criteria for 450 nationals.

According to On Track Off Road who is the main media source for the GPs his name is part of the retooled factory Husky lineup for next year, which will basically be a mirror of the KTM team.  Adam Wheeler is a guy who would know, and Matthes over here confirms he is being told the same thing.

And I agree none of those guys are consistent 10-15 material, but that's who's available that has a history of scoring points and might be willing to race a 2-stroke.  Here's the top 15 in the championship so far, who from this list is willing to part with their current factory supported team to ride a 2-stroke.

1. Ryan Villopoto
2. Ryan Dungey
3. Justin Barcia
4. James Stewart
5. Trey Canard
6. Mike Alessi
7. Andrew Short
8. Jake Weimer
9. Broc Tickle
10. Josh Grant
11. Malcolm Stewart
12. Chad Reed
13. Phil Nicoletti
14. Tyla Rattray
15. Justin Brayton

File this under "Not gunna happen..." but Chad Reed fits the bill...

1. Vet
2. Two-stroke experience
3. Knows how to win (even if he thinks he is too old to do so)

x2 I was gonna suggest this but wasn't prepared to deal with the flak.

Reed was one of the three to watch in his YZ250 days. Awesome, positively awesome to watch particularly in supercross.

As far as we know anyway, these deals don't get announced usually until the previous contract is up.  But I imagine Mitch and PC don't want him back next year so they would allow him to shop around early.  I do agree either he or Phil Niccoletti are the two free riders who would make an impact.  But I believe everyone else in the top 15 is spoken for or could get on a bike capable of winning.

What about Kale Makeham over is Aussie land? He is running a solid second in the points on a YZ-250 in the 250 class.
