The only 4s I've owned are an XR200 and XR250 (besides old ones XLs). They were fun to play around on, but I have had a whole slew of 2-strokes, and I'm still looking for a good 125, or 150. Heck maybe even a 250.

I prefer 2-srokes.

Maybe just a Honda boycott. Those RMs are just too sweet to not be ridden.

You know, realistically (sp?), I think there is a good possibility of another type of series springing up (outside of the AMA). For example, the Monster Cup race is an open displacement race and is already generating excitement. I don't know if this will spawn other races, but the excitement is there. Also the petition is steadily rising, which shows an increase in interest and commitment to see a 2-stroke allowed to race equally.

I think it will happen.

Ha! No Yamaha is kind of the good guys. They just need to update their YZs. Funny.

I think a boycott of Honda, Suzuki, and Kawasaki would be a good test to see if they value sales, even though they say pride runs their company. I can imagine a lot of cars, lawnmower, motorcycle, apparel, and related items would make a dent in their sales and company image. Look at what happened to Disney with the Christian boycott. The same thing happened to Proctor & Gamble. When that image is tarnished, then there is a real impact that follows.

Just a thought.

Actually an XR200 or CRF230 would be the logical choice for the transition to a 250f. A 125 will seem faster than a 250F at first, just like a 250 seems faster than a 450F. Man, that is some fun power, though. The 250 2-stroke was probably the best motorcycle ever made.

Good stuff for 2-stroke Todd, as well (way to go "TST"). I wish they would have given him a little more time, and asked him what his plans were for expanding this to include other venues. Either way, this is how things get started - small and excited, and then it grows.
Excellent stuff, thanks Charles.

Thanks for the clarification Tom. Do they allow 450 2-strokes in there?

Of course, if he starts getting beat by the 2-strokes, then he'll feel the pressure to switch. Sometimes it depends on the race. The 2-strokes have the advantage in most of the situations, but the Fs have some situational strenth at times too.

I would definitely like to. Especially to see the bikes.

Excellent! I've posted it on Vital too.

Yeah, you're right. If he screws you over on this, he will ruin himself. Hopefully, he's not that dumb.
