With trails like that, who needs areas of forest with no trails at all?  Just get on the highway on your way to the beach, pull over on the side of the road at some random location in the Coast Range, and start riding through the woods.  I think your rate of progress and the style of riding involved would be very similar.

Is this Maico a 440 or only a 400?  Well in all the confusion, I forgot myself.
But considering this is a 1978 Magnum, the best-handling bike in the world, you have to ask yourself one question.
Do you feel lucky, punk?

Those videos get me pumped for this every time. Hey Toby with your riding style how long does your top end last?

These big bores the top ends can last forever if you want them to, they are low revving engines even if you're screaming them.  Don't know yet how long these last, but my KTM 495 for example had original bore when I got it.  All my bikes are like 30 years old for the most part and most of them were either stock or 1st over.  I know the smaller the bike the less lasting they are, I think my TS250 lasted maybe 2 years before needing replaced.

has anyone figured in gas prices of this trip  :-X? $3.90 a gallon for crap gas, and $4.20 for ethanol premium?
