iffy on little naches(police issues), and Gifford Pinchot looks great, probably the best choice.(only issue is road use?). However, I'm liking diamond mills if where possible. I can't believe I've never ridden there.

I'm down with that. Carpooling is a good idea, and it splits fuel cost in half for whoever does it.
I've got tents ;D
I doubt my dad would let me take his camper but I may be able to get his bike trailer. I can fit 3 bikes in there for traveling around.. But if it were to store bikes overnight it could fit 4 maybe 5

Little Naches is 4 hours drive for me also.

Diamond Mill is 4 hours from Bend.
Diamond Mill is 4 1/2 hours from Port Anglese

(I use Gales Creek, OR as the estimate point for Diamond Mill, that's the start of TSF).

There is camping there as well.  Seems that for you guys, both of those places are equal distance :)  For me, Diamond Mill is less than 1 hour.  Where do you guys want to go

I'm cool with Diamond. Looks fun plus you know the area well, and you could show us a lot of good trails. I'll make sure to bring some camera's and get footage and pics.

Gifford Pinchot will still have a lot of snow on the upper trails in May and the area gets a lot of traffic - many of the trails are rocky and pounded out.I recall one trail where the ruts were so deep you literally had to stick your boots on your handlebars or your legs would get ripped off.

I'm looking at 4+ hours to the border and another 5 to Little Naches or GP (Mt. St. Helens) so any place will involve a lot of driving for me. :D

So looks like Diamond Mill would be fine then if you are comming from the north as well.  Diamond Mill will be clear and no snow in May.

Sounds Good! I will plan accordingly. Also, is anyone planning on attending or riding the Desert 100 in Eastern WA in April? Just curious, some of my riding buddies are going. 8)

Where is Diamond Mill located and are there spark arrestor checks?

Highway 6, TSF Mile marker 20.  There are spark arrestor checks all over.  in Washington, they check everyone in the parking lot last time I was there.  They also started doing heavy spark arrestor checks last year at browns camp.

Diamond Mill is a bit more relaxed though, its not as heavily patroled as say browns camp is now days and actually any time the guys patroling there have even stopped to talk to us in the parking lot at DM, they just BS they never checked spark arrestors.  Browns Camp tho, they'll check and they check constantly there these days. A lot of places in washington are heavy on checking for some reason (like Jones Creek, they check everyone).

Rarely run into patrols at DM tho and DM is not many riders b/c of the single track, so usually have the trails to yourself.  But, every OHV area has potential for getting checked.
