2004/2005 Maico 500, WP Front/ Rieger Rear, Hydraulic Clutch, HGS Exhaust, I got it from the original owner. It was actually plated in Washington, but don't think I will renew the plates.  Seems in good shape, have to set it up or trails.  He threw in the 83 maico 490 sand spider engine on the table in the back of the photo as well.  The saturday before last decided I wanted to get a newer maico so I got one :)

Man, it's got to be really awesome to have more than $55 in the bank...

Is this Maico a 440 or only a 400?  Well in all the confusion, I forgot myself.
But considering this is a 1978 Magnum, the best-handling bike in the world, you have to ask yourself one question.
Do you feel lucky, punk?

Hey if you ever need new plastic for it, Yamaha has you covered. ;D
If a pair of 2" brass balls isn't working, I doubt that the 3" model will make much difference.

Sweet, congrats,it looks like we'll FINALLY get to see a reasonably modern day Maico in action-and don't give us no crap about the video being just around the corner-next year :D
I'd rather a full bottle in front of me than a full frontal lobotomy.

Cool!
Do you want to sell the 1983 Maico 490 motor?

I heard the side plates and rear fender are yamaha (but hard to get the rear fender in Red w/o going thru koestler) and the tank and rad shrouds are KTM.  I need to find that out tho b/c I want to get an oversize tank!

I have another 490 engine I have rebuilt and all new bearings but never put it back together b/c it's a 4 speed.  Want to see if the transmission is good and a 5 speed from this engine and put the gears in that engine.

My bark busters should be here soon but I tried to get a CR500 spark arrestor and its on back order (Ithink a late model CR500 spark arrestor should work).  I need to put a skid plate also yet.  Will have videos of it tho but will be trail riding it, so no motocross 50 foot jump videos just like me putting around on a 82 maico 490, same thing just witha 2004 maico 500 in the picture :) The brakes work though, so that will be different.

you can get it in black all day long, as a matter of fact I have a black Vented front # plate if you want it.
But beware, you know how the saying goes...............
