Any bets as to whether Husky uses a repacked KTM engine vs a proprietary engine?

I give it a 75% chance they end up being ktm's in red and black plastics, or maybe they'll go back to being yellow and blue  ;D

The reason I slightly doubt they will change it is that BMW actually spent some money on development, especially on their 4 stroke line(And whatever they were holding out on us 2 stroke wise). Their swing arm pivot/sprocket axis is badass.

This looks too much like a photo shopped Husaberg TE-250 or 300? It looks great though but I hope KTM does'nt bring the Husqvarna out in the blue/yellow color scheme! I personally liked the red/white & black Husqvarnas the best so hopefully KTM will make them those colors or @ least make them look somewhat different from the Husabergs.... :<img src=" title="Roll Eyes" class="smiley">
BTW I'm still waiting for Maico Int. to bring out a nice fat bar Maico-320,380 or 500 enduro model & hopefully NOT with so much white freakin' plastic!!! >:-D

Good luck on that, but yea its an 04 cr250 shroud and panel shopped over a te300. I am absolutely  shocked on how everything lined up though. I personally loved a the blue and yellow huskies, but this was taking a pot shot at KTM for throwing blue plastics on a 300xcw haha

I also liked the blue & yellow Huskies & still would if the Husabergs were'nt blue & yellow...I saw a 4-stroke Husaberg in one of the MXA or Dirt Rider mags a year or so ago & it was done in mostly black & blue & it looked great imo.At least different than the status quo blue/yellow Husaberg xcw....lol. :o

WIll be interesting to see how this pans out.

Ill put money on the new Husky motor being a game changer. Not necessarily due to EFI etc etc, but I think it will be better than the KTM

whether its faster, lighter, more fuel efficient, emmissions efficient I dont know, but I have a feeling that its going to be something very trick.
I say this because their existing 2T engines are a cracker of a motor and yet they've completely gone back to the drawing board with it, why?

PS: Stusmoke, its ok you can say Dick Yeah as much as you like. I dont care really, I was just shit stirring you.
(as long as its not a gentleman's proposition)

I agree with that Jeram. In recent test the Husky wr-300 was faster than the KTM-300 & the Gas Gas 300xc plus did'nt Cycle World mag have a pic of what the next Husqvarna WR-300 would probably look like & it was suppose to be FI or DI & possibly be street legal? I almost bought a Husky WR-300 in 2011 but the shop had to order it & I was a tad bit impatient & juat bought the ktm-300xc... :<img src=" title="Roll Eyes" class="smiley">

Apparently husky dealers are slashing big $s off Husky/BMW bikes to clear their inventory!

I've been hearing 2-2.5k off RRps

Lol I'm only kidding around aswell. But after your explanation I need something else.... I'll keep you guys posted.

With regards to the Husky, I love the red and white. And black. The blue and yellow does look dreaful I think. Its like a suzuki and Yamaha mated.
