Looks like he will be racing the final round of the Aussie MX Nationals in the Pro Lites aboard a 250sx!!
Hope he does well, I don't think anyone has ridden one this year in Pro Lites
Go Mike  :D

Australian MX just got worth watching.

Yes Stu, we have cc for cc rules here, so you can ride up to 250 any stroke in lites and up to 450 any stroke in the opens, from C grade up to Pro, there was even a dude on a service 500 at the WA round of the nats in the support class, that class had everything from 125's up to the big 5 hunge  :D

I think mike is gunna race in the 2 stroke class at that national too, its the final round at Coolum, anywhere near you Stu? Its in QLD  :D

Well there you go I didn't know that. Its good to see Australia hasn't been totally corrupted. My brother had an old IT450 that got bored out to a 490... That was pretty hungry but hes never ridden the 500 cc mx screamers. Not sure how I'd go on a 450 two stroke though. I think the 380 SX with some good engine work would be a true fooper destroyer there. That'd be interesting actually.

We dont really have a pro class as such like the ama does. here you just buy a national licence from motorcycling australia instead of a club licence and pay your entry fee. there are no points or qualifying races or any of that. one of the advantages of living in a country where motocross is still pretty small.

Will be good to see him in the pro class and see what the 2 stroke does against the factory backed 250f's. The last round in the MXD class (development class) it was a 2 stroke podium but that was in the deep sand of Hervey Bay and a 2 stroke is leading that class as well.

Just checked, Coolum is just under 3 hours from my place, might just have to go

I love my country... Hate its government they suck but damn I didn't realize the system was that awesome here. When I get ALOT better I might have a crack at the pro races. ALOT better

The 380SX would be a killer motor/bike for the class. It would need suspension work. You could upgrade to 48mm forks or even Showa conversion.

Yota's bike ( http://twostrokemotocross.com/forum/general-two-stroke-talk/ktm-demo-day-vs-ktm-380sx/ ) with the 380 motor...
