Bikes at the dealership
« Reply #15 on: June 01, 2012, 06:42:16 PM »
I have a KTM/BMW dealer near me. I only went in once looking for something specific (been in a couple of other times oogling the latest 2T hardware -- in the last few months they are actually able to keep one or two on the floor for a few days before its gone). Anyway, I needed some tranny oil. Asked the front line guy.

I don't know the players in the shop, they are new to me. I think he was more of a sales guy. Asked for the oil.Said my 380 is a two stroke. He scratched his head, looked at the shelf with lots of different oils on it. Then called the service manager. HE came out. I made the same request. Said it was a 380 2T. Wanted tranny oil for it. He reached up and grabbed a bottle of Motil premix oil. I said I needed tranny oil. He said this was for a two stroke. I then explained how the tranny oil is different from the premix. THEN the light bulb finally went off and he apologized all over the place but its sad that we had to get to that point.

And I walked out, but bent down to examine a 250Fs cam first, then spat on it and fucked off.

that husky is getting ready to get a motor update.

I know.
The 250's & 300's are having major updates for next year. Not sure on the 125's.
The thing is they wont ever be as cheap again and you get a free 150 kit. ;D

You gotta understand... I'd just spend about 4 grand total on a total shit box that dumped its bottom end (hence the name dumpers) before I got 10 hours of riding out of it. I wanted to torch every four joke I saw. After this occurance I did serious research into the topic of four joke vs. 2 smoke. PAST the bullshit. Thats actually how I originally found this forum... Anyway so at this point in time I was dead opposed to the four stroke motocross bike.

As for making friends... I don't live in Tbar, so I don't give a fuck. In fact I have absolute zero care for what almost anyone thinks of me. That guy shat me off with his ignorance, so I figured I'd make him look bad in front of the 3 other costumers that were waiting behind me. Turns out they can't even get enough staff on, that tell people something? lol
