So when is maico going to put that 700cc motor in a quad.

Hopefully never.

Why not that would be a cool quad for the dunes.

Just put a paddle on the 700 bike, you will be fine in the dunes.
With an apparent 100 ponies would you need a paddle? That would be nasty.. ??? ???

Sorry that was the hater in me making a rare appearance... :D. I've owned a couple two stroke race quads back in the day. I just really prefer bikes.

Well my brother-in-law Terry rides bikes with a prosthetic leg. Every time they come visit from Alabama he looks forward to coming to our house because he knows I'll let him take one of my bikes out for a spin. It's his left leg and he just lifts his whole leg (fake foot doesn't really bend much) to shift up. He doesn't even remember having two legs, we was born with some kind of deformity and they had to amputate right under the knee at a very young age.

Sorry for getting off topic. I just really like Terry and I think it's awesome he rides so I brag him up any chance I get... :)

I don't know, I only ran a paddle once, on my old yz490, It was a big help at Glamis.

Cool story Coop.

I was making fun of this guy's couch, and he showed me the prosthetic, I turned red and then we had a good laugh.
He lost his lower right leg in a street bike crash, Still rides street bikes but says he has trouble in technical sections on a dirt bike.
Dude also said he rides with mostly dirt bike guys caus he don't like quads :D

Hey Maico what about a DI 2 stroke engine to stop the 4 stroke crowd  bitching about the emissions?? and gives the 2 stroke another advantage??

I would love to see Maico Int. bring a DI or even a FI 2-stroke bike out!
Although I'm probably going to get really sick when Maico International puts the 2011 prices on the new British Maico's....!! ???

Asking for direct-injection is a tall order - I'm sure a development like that would take massive capital and I don't think Maico International has that... yet.  Besides, I'm still trying to wrap my head around the idea of a big-bore Maico with a reed valve. :D

Is this Maico a 440 or only a 400?  Well in all the confusion, I forgot myself.
But considering this is a 1978 Magnum, the best-handling bike in the world, you have to ask yourself one question.
Do you feel lucky, punk?

I would take a new maico with a carb and have it microblued to lower emissions. :P

DI would kick some ass they could contract with BPR or Evenrude and we wouldn't see these bikes for another year,That sounds great just when they might release them they involve someone else for that next great thing. And it all becomes unobtainium......................can you tell the suspense is killing me?

I honestly wouldn't want to see Maico using a Bombardier/Evinrude/Rotax/Ski-Doo/Can-Am engine.  It's just not right, like putting a 426 Hemi into a Chevelle.
