Hmm, I had never heard of them but our local Beta dealer just picked up this line.

Stand by for more details. I have a tool to pick up from that dealer so I will be getting more info.

What we have learned so far:
  • 250cc oil injected & counterbalanced 2-stroke motor
  • 6-speed transmission
  • Electric start
  • Electric servo controlled power valve
  • Number plate, headlight, and tail light included
  • Weight:  236 lbs with light kit / 228 lbs without
  • Fuel Tank Capacity: 2.3 Gal
  • Suspension: Fast Ace (Chinese/Taiwanese)
  • Importer/Parts Warehouse PitsterPro Utah

Still not sure what the country of origin is but working on it.

It's a Chinese built bike using a copy of an old 230cc Yamaha motor. They look and sound good in the videos but IMO are overpriced by about $1000. Not yet available in Canada but by the time they are and with currency conversion I expect them to be in the $6500 range. Too close to the price of a (dated but known quantity) YZ. If they don't sell I would expect deep discounts.

Yep Chinese. Still interesting to see a new two stroke come to market.

Article I found on it.

Interesting. Essentially a real Yamaha motor.

At one time Made in Japan = Cheap, Low Quality, but clearly that has changed over time.

There is no reason that a Chinese manufacturer can't produce a quality product. I am interested to see one in person.

I would definitely ride one if given the chance. I agree that "Made in China" carries a stigma still but the quality is improving. CSC is selling a 250 Adventure bike that has a big following on Advrider.com. They have proven pretty reliable. And AJP, made in Portugal not China but many Chinese components, gets good reviews in Trailrider Magazine. So there is hope yet in my opinion for China to produce quality bikes.

People old enough like me remember when Japanese stuff was junk. Made in Japan was not considered a good thing when it came to just about anything, but that changed and so are the Chinese. Remember, people didn't buy Japanese bikes because they were better. They bought them because they were cheap.
