I hope he can pull it off... we need more affordable bikes...  I agree with his assessment riding / racing has become to expensive for the average family.  As we all know maintaining a 4 poke is not an inexpensive ...  "kids" need to stay on 125's longer to learn how to ride, before moving up to a bigger bike.
