Stolen CR's found
« on: June 08, 2010, 06:55:41 PM »
Just got word late afternoon that the stolen CR's have been recovered. There has been a rash of stolen bikes and quads in my area. I am going to the police station to get a look at the theives tomorrow, then going to pick up the bikes. I am told they had a big operation going, with 4-5 of them grabbing bikes, hoarding them, then selling them to customers across the US and Canada. The detectives that I talked to says they have been trying to get these guys for a while now.
I can't beleive how lucky/fortunate I am that the bikes are not gone forever like the last time this happened to me in 1989.
Thanks to everyone that gave me advice, and my local police, it really helped.
                               Paul

Very good news, time for more security on where you keep the bikes. More locks or an alarm system or keep them in the house. I keep a 105lb. black german shepard in the garage his bed is right next to my bike.

Looks like someone is doing good work.

Thieves are inherently lazy and the more you lock up your bikes and ATVs the less likely they are going to be stolen.

Sounds like you've got a local crack/drughouse where these kinds of activities are taking place.

Great news Paul, hopefully they didn't trash the bikes.  Too bad they won't put these slimeballs in a room with all the victims armed with Louisville Sluggers!!!

I feel your relief through the board here. I only have the one bike and would be beside my self if it got jacked. Keep it quit secure and even though I don't have 105' German Sheperd I do ahave a 35 lb Shih Tzu that will lick them silly. :P
