You're right! It shouldn't ever take this long for people to realize they are being sold on a bad idea. It would be even better if more people knew what a bad idea smelled like so they could avoid buying into it at the beginning...
Unfortunately for the non-sheeple in a population, the sheeple who make up the vast majority can be effectively sold on nearly any idea, no matter how stupid it is. This means that every once in a while, you'll find yourself wondering why the radio is filled with boy bands, why property taxes are 10 or 12 k per houshold in a state where public services are threadbare to say the least, and also why the world got all kissy faced with 4 stroke motocross bikes that were Heavier, Hard to start, Slower (check out ANY supercross all the way up to 05), More expensive IN EVERY WAY, AND shorter on service life while being many times more prone to catastrophic failures, from the day the first ones farted off the factory floors.
With enough shiny pro 4 stroke TV talk from properly coached race announcers/bike pushers, plus a load of half truths in magazines along with some well placed omissions of fact, you can apparently sell just about any basket case to a lot of people.
Congratulations... Here's your bridge deed.
Thanks,
Jim
