Doesn't sound right, I have 5 bikes, KTM, YZ's and CR and none of them leak out the drain plug. I would check to make sure you are not missing an Oring, or if you have a copper washer on them for sealing, either replace it or re-finish it. (wet sand on a flat surfuce ).
Are you sure they are dripping out of the drain plug or is it leaking somewhere else and that is the lowest point?

I'm with rlaj1004 on this one...  Not bike should be leaking oil.  If it's coming from the drain plug, then your missing a washer or o-ring.  Something is amiss.  :(

Yup, or a copper washer in there and clean the mating surfaces. This may sound like a stupid question, but are you sure its the drain plug? Being the lowest spot under the bike, if it were leaking from a gasket it would collect and drip from the drain plug. Just a suggestion, as lots of people (as in a past owner) will put old, sometimes even ripped, gaskets back in and will cause a leak as well.

mmmhmm. If theres no washer she will leak no matter how much you overtorque it.

l I let the bike sit for a bit and it looks like its leaking from the clip on the case sprocket, does anybody know the name or part number of the seal or part I will need. Its weird though because it never leaked with the other oil when I had it for a couple days, only with the belray

So it does it whe nit sits? Are you sure its not just chain lube thats seeped onto the sprocket? I got a rather embaressing fright when i lubed my KTMs chain for hte second time, there was dirt stuck to the counter shaft sprocket and had gone off in straight lines from the centre out! Took me a little second to realise it was just chain lube.

Sounds like you need to replace the countershaft seal though. You should be able to order in a counter shaft seal kit from your dealer easily enough.

Yup. Order in a counter shaft kit. Should be a pretty easy job too.

Have you been riding in long grass.?
Pull the sprocket and see if you have grass wrapped around the counter shaft.
I have had leaking seals in the past and all it has been is grass in the seal. Easy to clean out if carefull

Thats a good idea. I haven't had it happen to me in long grass but thats probably just raw luck. I'll be sure to watch out for it now, thanks.

So the seal is on back order for a month from the dealer.I found one on eBay but they call it a output shaft seal, same thing? No bearing provided..would it need a replacement? Mine is fine

Should be the same thing. Have you checked motosport. They have a pretty good stock on hand and if not get stuff quick.
