« on: May 08, 2013, 10:58:52 AM »
Hi all,

I got a set of talon wheels from a honda that didn't have the spacers to fit my bike which is a 2008 RM250 so went out and ordered some new and just had a phonecall saying that the rims don't fit the RM 2 stroke models? what a bloody nightmare  :(

Any info is greatly appreciated

I'd rather a full bottle in front of me than a full frontal lobotomy.

if the rims fit between the forks and swingarm then stop stressing.

All you need to do is:

A, Find a machine shop to make you the axle, sprocket and brake spacers that you need

OR

2, Take your excel wheels  and get a wheel shop to lace them up to your stock hubs.
If you want it to look pretty then you can have your OEM hubs polished, powdercoated or anodised prior to being relaced.

easy as pie.

Sorry Swapper, but I ain't your bud so you can stop saying it any time. It's got nothing to do with whatever you imagine, simply your responses to the guy.I don't get the details of his issues from his posts,so I asked for clarification so that maybe someone could help out.
He said they didn't fit-you told him someone told him last week they wouldn't fit.
He said they they slightly different-you told him you're sure he's now aware they're different.
Good **** man, read whatever you like from me in there or whatever motivations you imagine, but if that's the best you can do to help the guy out,why waste your time?

Good post Jeram,I couldn't get whether it was a shaft dia. issue, wheel width or spacer problem.Good advice regardless of the problem. 8)

They went from Honda wheels to RMZ wheels ?? Did you read it or not ?? I have plenty of info to help him, but when the story turns upside down in the space of 10 mins it makes it hard !!

Sure I read it,didn't you?He had a set of CR talons that didn't fit so he ordered a new set online for his RM from a company that said they stocked RM wheelsets then got a call that they actually just fit the RMZ's-not the RM's.A bit disjointed but that's how I read it.

Ok, well I interpreted that in a different way. I thought he was saying he had a Talon wheelset off a Honda (the ones he spoke about last week) and was trying to get spacers to suit his RM, and then after my first response, he suddenly had RMZ wheels and wanted spacers to suit his RM. Sorry, but thats how I read it.
