When stewart was on smokers, his style was pretty much what I am now: get angry at the track and try to hurt the dirt, the corners and the jumps. He liked to hurl his bike into ruts and leave it pinned in the deep ones. Trying to ride like I do now on my neighbours 07 CRF250R gives me a faceful of dirt. He was so much better on two strokes.

You've got a point. But my guess would be that his take on it is: Why spend millions funding a two stroke team when I can EARN millions riding for a four stroke team?

Sapper i don't get it when someone knock's 125. You see more guy's dragging their bar's in tight turn's on 125's than any other bike (2s or 4$). As far as power goes i've rode all kind's of bike's in a wide range of displacement and alway's come back to 125's. I don't need a over powered bike. If you want to improve you're bike skill's get a 125. Ever heard that said before??

125's are the most aggressive racing machine's man has made and most people who don't like them even if they ride bigger size 2s don't like the all out aggression it take's to ride a 125. I love riding at 100% knowing if i don't give it my all i'm just a obstacle on the track. Most people can't handle the power of a 250 2s let alone a 500 2s.

One more thought all the people who ride those little 4$(honda 50's made to fit adult's) love riding them and how much power are they making???   KIM

Yes, 125's are fun. But even me, who don't ride much anymore, I just watch the kids go round and round. But when I do, a 125 just doesn't have it for me & I don't even jump anymore. Granted I love riding ours and it's a blast. But the 250 just gives the feel of raw, arm pumping, neck-snapping, seat-of-the-pants feel vs a 125. But my son is the same way. He loves riding the 125 to play on because it feels 100lbs lighter and he can really rip on it. But in a race, he wants the 250. He doesn't have to rely on sweeping a turn perfect and full bore to keep up his speed to pass someone. He can take the inside and have the power rip out of it. That's where the 4T 250 has the major advantage & why it's BS to put 125's against them in lites and say they're comparable. Like I keep saying, A 250 is a 250 is a 250. I also don't believe the CRF150 should be allowed in the mini or supermini classes.

It's like driving my truck then getting in my wifes DD. Her little 4 banger just doesn't have it. Until I get her other car done. 450hp is gonna be nice

Sapper you're right about it not being fair 125 2s against 250 4$. Nothing i love more than putting it to a 4$. Those 4$ guy's act like it's fair when they beat you but as soon as a 125 2s beat's them you can see the disbelief in their eye's.

450 horsepower sound's like alot of ticket's in you're future.haha If i could have a hot rod it would be a ariel atom' Alot of bang for the buck and street legal. Stay safe out there and when you can ride that 125, keep's you young.  KIM

As someone who rides a busted arse barely functional 2001 honda CR125 against 250Fs, 250s, 125s and 150s, I agree with sapper. My bike has sod all motor. In a 125 only class, I wouldn't whinge at all. It tracks great through the ruts and corners and its light. But against 250Fs, 250s and 150s, I can rail the outside line all I want but they pass my on the straights and gain ground. But fun like nothing else

I hate how 4$ destroy 2s line's and i think each bike deserve's it's own class. I go even farther let 2s have their track's and 4$ have their's and never the two shall meet. 2s use to rule big berm's and tight inside line's now you have to run outside line's because of the 4$. On a bike with half the displacement having to go the long way around. All 4$ did was add to the cost of what use to be the cheapest form of motorized racing. I also heard 4$ rider's are a major market for viagra. Suck's to be a 4$ rider riding a crap bike during the day with a limp noodle at night and not having the sense to get a 2s. KIM

I don't find they destroy my lines, they make them better. Why? Ruts. When their heavy, gyroing engine forces them to go slower through the ruts, I blow by them singing at 12 grand pinned and dragging bar. Their extra torque and horsepower digs its own grave in the ruts, and it literally digs

Of course for less experienced riders. Blokes that ride well do what I do and go faster through the ruts. But my point is I don't find they destroy my lines at all. They make it easier to hit faster because they dig the ruts deeper.

If they don't destroy 2s line's why have the track's been changed to fit their power out put. I know they dig rut's. It seem's 4$ compact the dirt way more than 2s and they destroy berm's. 4$ like to flat track turn's, 2s like berm's. The rut's 4$ make are fine but 2s make rut's also and the ark of the turn's are tighter on a 2s. Which is what i prefer. Big berm's forever... KIM
