2005 rm125 carb swap questions...
« on: December 22, 2012, 10:10:54 PM »
Any advantage to running a keihin carb? ... I ask because I have a 38 pwk sitting on the shelf in the shed. It may be a 39? It was on a ktm 125sx.
Would there be any advantage to running it? it is about 10mm longer front to back, but I believe it will fit.  The external bell diameters are the same.  I have a large selection of keihin jets and needles.....
Does the tps have to be hooked up? any adverse effect by not having one?

That TMX-X Mikuni is as good as you will get as far as a carb goes. The TPS links throttle position with ignition advance they will be much much more repsonsive with the TPS connected.
