I'll be back doing more of this

And if I can convince them to run a vintage class for the 6 hour, maybe I'll run this and we can battle it out  :P

That was Ford at 3:10.

As I'm too beat up to race anything current in 2013 I'm building two vintage/evo  bikes for fun/vintage events:

1. 1975 Hercules Sachs 1751 6A with a 1975 Maico fork assy. and rear shocks to match (hopefully Ohlins - not period correct but for fun).

and

2.  1979 Hercules Sachs 175 7 sp with a GS 6/MX 250 style frame with 300 mm of travel (another one off special).

Should be fun. ;D

Will be doing more of this on the 125.

And am trying to do a deal on a 250 at the moment so I can do 2 classes at each event.
I wouldn't mind a 500 to complete the collection as well. 8)

I ride a '73 yamaha CT3 175.
And recently my daughter started riding a full sized bike for the first time.
And of course its another two stroke -- 1986 IT200. This was a parts donor
bike for the prior owner until we rescued it....

The RT3 is working pretty well. There is a jetting (or possible small air leak) issue when it gets hot, at higher engine rpms and low throttle settings. There is a small range of throttle settings where it can ping. I really have to figure that one out sometime. Its pretty easy to avoid that operating mode so its been back burnered.

citabjockey, sorry about the crappy video at least you can see the bighorn running. This is the first time started with the "ball valve" intake. tuning is all wrong now as the TPS to airflow is different. I need a bit of time to re tune it. You don't have an air leak around the reed rubber on your RT3? They do crack when they get old. Not trying to tell you how to "suck eggs" just it's something I've noticed with all my old Yamaha rubber boots.

Hey Uniflow, that bighorn project has me glued to your posts. I love this research project.

For the RT3, this is the older intake design where the reed block has studs in it to mount the carb solid to it with a 1/4" fiber spacer in between. This unit is not leaking. There is a small amount of oil accumulating around the exhaust side of the base gasket so I think that is probably the culprit. But -- have to setup a leakdown testing to be sure 1) that there is a leak and 2) that when I think its fixed it REALLY is fixed.

Took the Bighorn for a quick lap round the back yard, if you hit second you are in the fence. Tight, but the Bighorn seems a lot cleaner around the bottom end where there was a problem earlier. Much nicer throttle response. I better give it a wash before the next video.
