GSXR"s are definitely appreciating!

This is my father's '86 GSX-R750R Limited Edition.  It is like new, and a rare variant.  He has the side paneling removed for this photo.  It came stock with 1100 suspension (w/anti-dive), wheels, brakes, remote reservoir shock, magnesium covers, solo seat, bigger carbs, and a Yoshimura dry clutch normally found exclusively in their race catalog (the plates are all discontinued).  My dad bought the last set of NOS factory bodywork (to include tank) some time in the late '90s for it.  It's been in the family for a minute.  He has a big attachment to them as he was a factory wrench for Suzuki's superbike effort at the time.

He used to have a Gamma here in the states - he (and I, repeatedly) kick him for getting rid of it.

Someday I'll inherit it, but for now I have a '77 RD400  :)

Sod the datsun, take a 250sx, miata mx-5 (Which has been done) or something. Hehehe a ford laser would be sweet. Thats a sleeper car right there. Stall it at the lights and you gotta get out and pullstart it.

Anything Nissan/Datsun should be attached to an anchor chain and used accordingly. :P

Sweet Gixxer and TZ though. The RD series are a cool bike as well. They can be modified to death and become much more than were stock. 8)

I'd rather a full bottle in front of me than a full frontal lobotomy.

There is method to my madness. I need a car old enough to be skipped by the smog check gods. Miata is too new. Yet I would want something metric (no way I would want to mate a eTec to a Triumph), somewhat reliable (there goes Porsche) and REALLY be a sleeper. Bingo, 240Z

Besides, the datsun engine and tranny would go bye bye anyway!

So that little car with a 160HP, 100 lb engine.  LOL And keep the belt drive!

Seriously? 100 pounds? Thats a little under or over 50 kilos. Thats crazy light. Wouldn't you rather get a body that was lighter than a 240z? I think a lotus elise would be pretty damn sweet.

Here's my '77 RD400D, in my father's garage up in NY.  I have limited space (and time) down in GA, so he tinkers on it from time to time for me.  TZ350 Tank, TZ750 Tail, DG Head, DG RD400F swingarm, RZ350 wheels, brakes, and front end. Custom rearsets, and an early Spec II exhaust.  Nevermind the old KYB T-bones, they're just place holders.

 :)

Always thought 1 of these with a N/A RB26 fitted would be a cool car.
Have always had a soft spot for the 240z.
