Thoughts on a 2003 Cr 125

Im looking at picking up a 2003 cr 125 cheap and clean but how is the motor on this years bike?  Any inexpensive mods reccomended?

power is very narrow it takes some getting used to. it makes all its power in the middle no low no top just middle. you have to shift a lot i mean a lot! and just before it signs off. good thing the shifting is butter smooth and the clutch is strong. and its handling is amazing put it where you want it ride over any thing amazing. i have basic mods on mine ie. pipe silencer vforce factory connection springs and fork oil locks. even with the stock suspension it handles amazing and i weigh 210lbs. technique would be turn it till it stops and shft quickly. hope this helps.

powervalve mod, airstriker carb, 07 airbox boot, airbox vents, 134 mod with porting.  handling is razor sharp.  this bike can be made to romp, takes a little commitment.  turns inside my son's 05 yz125 easily.
