2012 Monster Energy Cup Track Layout

The track looks sweet, but to me the Talladega turn is kind of pushing it. Do we really need an ultra fast banked turn? 4 strokes have already sort of brought NASCAR to motocross, but no, lets throw in NASCAR orientated track sections. The Joker lane is the equivalent to making a pit stop.

That does look like a pretty cool track. That banked turn does remind me of NASCAR, but it is kind of different and it will be interesting to see it in action.

I think 4 stroke dirtbikes are a phase, kind of like "Glam Rock" in a way. You see the whole world subscribing to it, and you wonder how everyone could be choking down so much Kool Aid and Spam... Then 10 Years later, nothing's left but the timeless stuff from before and after..

where have i seen a talledega turn before??? o right on GLEN HELENS FIRST TURN. honestly who wouldnt want a fast huge big turn??? i still dream of riding there on the wide open straight.  and the joker lap is pulled from the Global rallycross series as seen on XGAMES not "left car" racing

I've just got one question for this amazingly exciting track... What the FU** is that? nothing but bowl turns, fart noises and propaganda. "The fans are gonna be really excited" Theres one right here thats not. "all these cool ideas we came up with" Yeah the same ideas that came from a nascar race or like motoman said, from the xgames rallycross.

Making it four troke only wasn't boring enough it seems.

I like it enough I guess... a little different than the cookie cutter trax that prevail during regular supercross season. I am not the biggest SX fan around, but this will do as a "fix" for now...

That track looks cool. We'll have to see how it is in real life. That track was good last year. MX will always be better, imp, since it is outdoors with terrain. SX from the get-go was a money machine, pack as many fans into a stadium to watch dirt bikes race on a fake dirt course.

If you can't enjoy watching dirt bikes, no matter what stroke, you have your own problems to deal with. Yes, I would prefer 2-strokes (for technology and slightly more exciting at times) but I love dirt bikes period. Next time WEC, GNCC, etc gets good TV coverage I will watch that instead.

Watching 4 strokes race is pure boring.... No matter how many inflatable cans of carbonated slop they set up around the track, it's just another mushy Fooper race. No matter how many fireworks they set off, it's just another mushy Fooper race...

It's nothing exciting.

When you watch the 2005 supercross series and then watch the 2012, its like watching a man smash a watermelon over his head repeatedly. Bowl turns and a couple of rhythm sections is all these porky foopers can handle so thats what they put in and its boring to watch for me. There used to be 180 degree corners, you used to have to square your berms, abuse the clutch and fight tooth and nail for position. There was a lot more rider involved in winning than bike.

All I see now is Ryan Villipoto getting the holeshot thanks to his insane horsepower and staying up front. Its more bike than rider cos they're all so bloody good at these bowl turns and rhythm sections and theres alot less potential for mistakes. It is by this logic that I base my previous conclusion: Four stroke supercross is boring to me.
