Clutch slipping.. need help

I have been working on a 125 clutch thats slipping..

i have tried 2 diffrent sets of basket and plates.

but it still slips an have a winding noise..

have torqued spings and primary gear also..


it dont slip in 1st gear holding  rear break from dead start..  but once i gear up and gas it

make sure you pre soak the fibers and have proper play in the cable.

Have you measured the clutch basket, pressure plate, fiber/metal plates and springs for wear?

the weird thing is that its  2 compleat  kits


2 baskets,   2 sets of plates,  2 sets of springs..
both was slipping on that engine..

used a kit from another bike to try so no soaking needed

can a leaking power valve seal.. contaminate the oil making it slipp?

what brand 125?
These are brand new parts?
As stated earlier presoaking a wet clutch fibers is mandatory.
Check the obvious first clutch cable play? yes you want no pressure on the cable when lever is in released position.
Are there any grooves on the fingers of the clutch basket's? Or grooves in the splines of the inner hub? These wear grooves will prevent smooth clutch operation.
Did you check the pressure plate for wear? they will develop a ridge where the plates slip against the plate on the inner edge of contact surface.

Assuming its a liquid cooled bike, is it possible coolant is getting into the trans oil and causing it to slip?

mine slips too, i dont understand

I removed the clutch master sylinder.. 
to rule out that  but still was slipping..


One of the clutch assembly was from my own motor. worked before i put it away..
my friend borrowed mine to check if slipping stopped whit my clutch. In his motor..

I am on the 3rd can of oil and no coolant

I wonder when that question will be answered To me it sounds like a spacer issue if the plates are new.

(1)I had a lot of plates lying around and used the thickest of them..
It should not matter since it worked in my engine..

(2)tried 3 different oils now, and whitout clutch slave..

(3)only one of the baskets had ridges same result

(4)haven`t checked the spacers compare to mine.

(5)As posted previous, his power valve seal was blown...
Thats the diffrence i can make out, but could the valve contaminate the oil?

if the fiber plates are ok, how are the metal plates? are they steel ou aluminium?

i would check the thickness on every plate and see if the are within limits.

Not only that, a bit of glace, or burned and the plates can slip.

I don't think that the unburned premix can get the clutch to slip. IMO of course

I was going to suggest checking the clutch slave cylinder but seams you have.
I had the clutch slip on my TM and after pumping some fluid thru the slave it came right and has been ever since.
Are you sure the correct number of plates are in.?

Why not throw one extra metal plate in and see if the clutch still slips. If it doesn't, you've got wear somewhere.
