I raced at the same tracks with both of them back in the '80's, but definitely not in the same classes!!!

I don't get down to NESC races in Mass anymore, I stick with the Maine Motocross series @ MX207 and Hemonds. I would love to get back to Southwick sometime, that was always my favorite track as a teenager.

Back in 85 or 86 Lorusso would show up on his (I think) factory YZ80 at Middleboro. Only JoJo looked faster.

He was faster when he was out of shape than when he would train. He would show up at an NESC race out of the blue and was AMAZING to watch. Big old spare tire hanging out with a flapping purple Bettencourt jersey on a 125 and no one could catch him.

I talked to Jo Jo at MX207 last year. I also remember that purple Bettencourt's jersey!!!
