We have a motorsports complex in Phoenix called Speedworld that has been here for over 50 years (1961). Now, the county is forcing them to close because the former owner didn't get the proper permits for changes he made to the property. They are saying they can reopen once all the permits are taken care of (dealing with the county on this could literally take years!) but that effectively will kill Speedworld all together with no income to pay for permits and whatever else the freakin county wants them to do. OK, here is where you guys/gals can help out. Speedowrld has started an online petition to try and get the county to let them remain open while getting everything up to what the county wants. Now, it doesn't matter if you live in AZ or not so I implore everyone to sign it please. Even to our members to the North in Canada, South in Mexico, and anywhere else in the world, please help us to keep this facility alive! I live in Australia but I signed it anyway. Thats a load of crap. I hate local governments they're always looking for a way to screw you over. Its his own god damn property he shouldn't need permits to change it. Good luck
