She's a beauty and a completely reasonable asking price if you're into 500s.

I promise you, if you made 15,000 per month, you would not think twice about offering this guy 5500 and just keeping it.
And I promise you that's only true with the right kind of wife/girlfriend, because I do and I wouldn't.
I would be in the permanent "dog house" if I came home with another dust collector.

dogger
i could earn $15,000 an hour and still get a ball bustin!! :D :D
but that thing is sweet, i'd pay that, if it was in Aus it would have 10k+ on it, i see well used ones for 6-8k  ??? ???

How do you NOT ride a bike for all those years? What did it, sit in someones living room?
A Harley dealership in G.Bay just had an auction, they had a few new 1989,90 etc cr,s and mint vintage mx bikes. He could,ve just bought it last year  who knows.

only 48hp premix that CR500 would put a smile on your face you never would be able to wipe off if you got to ride it  :o :o ;D

I rode an overbored, extremely built one that belongs to a reputable owner (who runs TSM graphics) 3 weeks ago, and got told on here it was a 48hp clapper.  So, the stock 00 model must be like 35?

now you see . I was told 90's bikes were crap and I own one and know better as you were told your 80hp cr500 ride was actually only 48 . You know better .   It sucks when you know whats up but others are trying to convince you different and now you see . Just know that I had to bust your balls after reading that comment . A friendly ball busting  :D

I don't actually give a shit though.

Ohh you stop it . You care or you wouldnt have kept going back and forth with those guys .

Lol CR500s put out 48 HP. Yeah and my penis is made of gold. And grants wishes. You may refer to me as Gold Member friends... Nah I'm just kidding.
Heres my take on it. Until you've been there, done it and seen it you can't tell a man what it was like. Not to mention its quite possible Premixed's title of "rode an 80hp cr 500 today" may have just been a friendly exageration. Lets face it its UNLIKELY that it could make that without SERIOUS mods, but again, I'm not an expect and the argument that followed that was rediculous... but amusing from a third person point of view

+1 man. My local dealer sells 2012 CRF450s for around $12,500.
That price is golden lol.

I can't wait until you finish school, land that "career" job and get out of the penny-pinching college mindset, my man.  Some guys have barns full of bikes.  He probably had 4 Hondas, was on the way home from work one afternoon in 2000, a dealer was selling the thing at way below invoice, so he snagged it.  Never rode it.  It happens all the time with "toys".

I buy shit I have no intention of using all the time.  I've got car parts for cars I do not own.

I want a CR500 like that, with 2006+ CRF front forks/brakes/wheel/triples.

What's wrong with him wanting to spend his money on stuff he actually likes to use?

I'm not bothered about what pointless stuff you buy but why have a go at him for not seeing why you bought it, I mean why buy stuff you have no intention of using?
