Freestone - no spoiler...but hinted....
« on: May 29, 2012, 10:28:53 AM »
Bubba did good, again, and it was nice to see Alesi stay strong for an entire race. I thought it looked REALLY BAD that Dungey and Stewart wore basically the same clothes (from different manufacturers!). Think they planned that? And Alesi had the (very cool) vintage JT Racing gear.

But that's not the point of the post. No 2-strokes entered either class. Only 75 450F's and a paltry 57 250F's. I would think that with so little numbers, that making the show on a 125 wouldn't be that hard to do these days.

Seriously, if they spent as much money as they do on a 250f, they would have a freakin NUKE!

i was there at the race, and it was my first national, it was cool to see just how fast they go, you see it on tv and you don't realize they're FLYING! but besides that, the racing was good, it wasn't as hot as everybody was expecting. One thing i noticed though was that whether it was a privateer or a factory guy, that their bikes were popping and backfiring the entire day, now i'm no mechanic but i know that a perfectly tuned machine will not pop like that, you'd think that with how much money the bikes cost to build that they could build one that wouldn't pop and sound like complete shit. I scoured the pits in search of 2 strokes but there were none, i'm really amazed at the privateers, because some have bikes that cost 20+ grand and they dont qualify, and all i see if they're wasting money when they could be doing the same thing and who knows maybe qualify faster on a 125 or 250 2 stroke than they would on the 250f's, whenever the slowest practice was out there it seems like they were fighting the bikes more than the track

I didn't watch the race (I have to youtube it cos we don't have a channel that covers it) but I know one thing: F(ags) and I dont mix. I vividly remember climbing onto my 2005 CRF250R and trying to pull the triangle stand out of it and falling on my ass. I can do it easily while sitting on my YZ. Easy as piss. Literally reaching all the way around to the back wheel and still having my feel of the ground. The extra weight feels like you're wrestling the bike all the time just to keep it upright. It wants to sick into the whoops and dive into the mud. They just feel so much more labored.

You seem to make homophobic remarks in almost every post. Are you trying to tell us something?

Only 57 in the 250f class, not surprised the riders only do the nationals that are close to them. Anyone remember 3or4 yrs ago on this site, a ktm 125 jr rider Cody Kamm sreaming the hell out of his 125 and scrubing off everything. He  ran finished inside the top 20 at the nationals, in the 250f class the last yr or 2. I saw him sun. at a pro am race in Wi., he won all the motos in 250,450a, he finally stopped scrubing off of everything and is very fast.

All you Jimmy Stewart haters out there might want to tune in to Thunder Valley.  If he is going to lose a moto this year, it'll be here.  This is historically his worst track, and one of Dungey's best.  However, if Jimmy yards everyone again at this race, you're in for a long summer, because he'll only get faster.

Oh snap. VBS is quite right... but so is Lolerbabop I hate cigarettes, LOL funny story about that. Heres how stupid four jokers are:
I saw a guy filling out his bike while smoking a fag. I could see the fumes rising I was expecting him to ignite any second. Shame I didn't have popcorn...

As for the original comment, as ScottyDog Accurately says: The hardest part about riding a four stroke is telling your parents you're gay!!!
Which is true, hence why I assume all four joke riders like men
