 Well i'm noticing more and more that every week at the track the smokers are coming back .  Were more 125 smokers on the track in the 125/250f class than 250f's . The quad class had more than one trx250r and they were kickin a$$ out there . I'm not a big quad fan but at one point a kid on a 240 blaster was smoking every 450 on the track and they werent catching him at all , was great .  My friend who's dad owns a Honda dealership here locally is converting to 2 stroke aswell .  He told me last night that his dad never gave him a choice in the matter and put him on a 250f because they are the "waive of the future " the kid was schooling people on a barrowed 03 yz125 .  we were sitting on the bleachers between practices and he had a few of his dads pals walk up and start talking to us and the first question asked was were's your 250 at ? His reply "at the house" they ask why? is it broke down ?he said "nope its just a turd and I dont want to ride it anymore". Priceless !!! His dad thinks 2 strokes are done so will not assist in anyway to get him a 125 so the guy that let him barrow the yz125 pretty much gave the bike to him to race this season said he would sell it to him for $500.

I talked to countless other riders and Dads lastnight on why they choose 2 stroke and 9 out of 10 times it was 'they are more fun and they can afford to maintain them without mortgageing the house " . 

Another funny thing I noticed last night was that the Crf150 mx bike that was supposed to take over the 85 class was the 2 slowest bikes on the track 2 out of about 25 bikes  :D :D

At the last regional here, the  fastest "85" was a CRF150 and the kid was clearing all the doubles and big tables. Pretty amazing really. In the Elite class (big bikes) he was behind me on a 125 but I think it was his first big bike race and also, he might have been having problems with it. Also, he had just raced his 2 30 minute motos as well.

Could have just tuckered the little guy out.

I've been told that Husaberg will not produce any more 4T$ until unsold inventory on showroom floors are gone,meanwhile they can't KEEP the 2T on the same shop floors.

I watched a KTM 65SX gap a 150R up a hill at Budds Creek.  The 150R is the biggest piece of shit made.

No no no. I'm in full agreement! I was just pointing out that it is still 90% rider. Once you tighten everyone up (as in the Pros), machine starts to make a difference.

Look at pro SX. This year, about 5 guys had a shot. Then there were maybe 5 more lurking. The rest (who qualified) were "rolling chicanes". If those top 5, the machine makes a large difference. Less so for the remaining 5 but it could prevent them from being top 10. Everyone else is just lucky to be allowed to "hang out".

 My local Yamaha dealer hasnt had a 2 stroke even make it to the showroom , Its a huge room filled with 4 jokes  :<img src=" title="Roll Eyes" class="smiley"> . Same for the local kTm store , the honda store that my friends dad owns still has leftovers from 2008,09,10  :o n

I know the off-road races around here are filled with smokers. A friend of mine that was a die-hard 4T fan and used to argue all the time with me about how much better they are than two strokes just recently sold his 2010 Husaberg 390 and bought a 2009 YZ250 and he can't stop raving about the YZ.

I hear a lot more two strokes buzzing around even for the put around in the woods riders. I think its great. The more 4 jokes we wipe off the face of dirt bike riding, the better.

i've been riding 4t's for 4 years but after i tried a tm on a tm tryout day the tm smokers were just amazing, i don't think i'm gonna go back to the bore strokes, riding the 2 stroke is just so much more fun i've had my tm 300 2t for a few months now and loving it i don't think i've ever had so much fun on a bike  :P i live in england and 300 is aloud in the mx1 class so its all good :)

that's great!

if you could write a full review on the bike that would be awesome, just your thoughts and stuff about the bike and why you like it over the 4 stroke, just in a seperate thread as well as post some pics, we'd all be very appreciative :)

YES, can you please post some pics and thoughts on the bike, a video would be awesome as well

I'm giving heavy consideration to throwing next year's tax return at one.  That's a bike i could seriously cartwheel and bend up at a stupendous rate of speed.

i bought my daughter a peewee 50 last weekend. While i was talking to the guy i said that i raced an RM250 and then we started talking about 2 strokes. He rides a Husaberg 250 two stroke and loves it. He said that when he goes out with his mates the are knackered after a couple hours of manhandling their 4 strokes around but he is still good to go
