The guy who gave my the advice on what to look for has a eric gorr yz 295 too and his just locked up in 5th this past weekend.  I wonder of we are over powering our transmissions?

You may want to try different oils too. I used to notice big changes depending on oil...one was what you discribed (I just can't remember what oil/weight caused it) On the one end, you have notchy shifting, on the other, slippage. Overheating the oil could also be an issue.

I do use the clutch when I shift.

I have not tried different oils, I have just always gone with what the manual told me to use, I have never had an issue before now.
