Heres some additional information.

We are pleased to have HGT as a 2012 team sponsor, we will be testing the FI kit on our 144 project very soon.
Stay tuned. :)

This is sensational news!
I'm sure there are many here like me who come back to the forum from time to time, crossing their fingers that the next "break through" will be unveiled.

If this works with real world improvements and is as cost effective as it seems, it should be very popular.
Excellent work HGT!

This is something I'm going to follow closely.  Yes I have my KTM jetted where I want it, but.... there's always room for improvement. It's going to come down to cost vs. performance.  I am one interested consumer.

I'm ready to go if it performs as well as a carb.  And if it can handle the pounding and Gs that motocross bikes have to take.  A highside gives a bike quite a shock.

If it works well on the 144, alert the press.  This is a big story.  Could bring a lot of people to the site, and then every other dirt site/mag will want to test it too.

The more I think about this the better it gets.
Given the Ecu can look after fueling and ignition why not use it to control the powervalve?
Wouldn't be too hard to rig up a solenoid which actuates the Pv here.
Surely with the ecu controlling all three variables here it will only add to the rideability and smoothness which is often missing from two stroke?

im super excited to hear the yz is going to be fuel injected!....i cant wait to see the write up on this, given the headache that a carb can be, this might be worth the $1000 to acquire.

Im getting ready to build a TZR250 yamaha street bike, two stroke twin reverse cylinder and would love to try this. problem is, i would need the parts for 2 carbs.  using the NK fairings, just not swapping the 500cc motor in....yet.

hopefully. i am just thankful that two stroke streetbikes are both legal and plentiful here in japan. also, bikes below 250cc are exempt from inspection, so swapping a 500cc motor into a 250cc frame is illegal, but undetectable because the chassis number.  if you have ever wondered why two strokes are "249cc" and "124cc" its not borexstroke voodoo, its japanese inspection requirements being met. an actual 250c bike would be bumped into the "under 400cc" category. same with the cars, there is a reason all the 4 cylinders are 1998cc (and called 2.0 liters)

but thats the plan, i always wanted what almost equated to a 500cc "motogp" bike.
