These whips remind me of Bubba Stewart on a 250 smoker.
But Barcia doesn't clear LaRocco's leap..? (unless he wasn't giving 100%)

Cool video!!

I wonder why he is riding LaRocco's bike?  Maybe the mechanics are still working on getting his bike started.

I believe it was the amatuer race on Sunday after the pro races Saturday.

It was just for fun.

He probably did have more fun on the smoker.

weird is that he rips on a 2 stroke bike, but not as much on a 4 stroke. he's just and average rider among 250f riders... in my point of view!

They say Barcia is constantly at the rev limiter on his 250F...
But i like this 250 stroker better, it might elevate him (and the future of AMA racing) to a next level.
With more and more people seeing the 2T light,
they might make a comeback when they change the rules.

Especially Yamaha will be laughing coz they kept the 2 strokes all along,
and they are fully able to produce a new state of the art 2 stroke if they want, carbed or DI...
While their big rival Honda trew everything out the window. . .

If it is average to be the Lites East SC champ, then yes he is average.....

maybe i didn't use the right term! i'm not saying that he's a weak rider. he's one of fav riders nowdays. he just seems do rip more on a two stroke, maybe cause they're lighter and he can whip it in every jump.. different bike, different style, i guess.

i don't hate the thumpers, but i'm not also a fan, but i can't stand without recording all ama motocross races to watch before bedtime.

my tv box hd is allmost full of mx races.

sorry for the misunderstood..

Barcia is like Stewart, when he can keep it on two wheels he's hard to beat.  But, like Stewart, he's had trouble keeping it on two wheels.

In a perfect world, he'd be a good candidate for a serious 450-class 2t challenger.  He's used to revving the crap out of a bike with little engine braking.  It'd be interesting to see what he'd do on a new factory-prepped KTM 250SX with 60ish horsepower, works suspension, polished tranny, etc.

Too bad it'll never happen.

Red Bud is a wild time, I was there 3 times back in the late 90,s  the race being on the 4th of july weekend is cool. Independence day and a motorcycle race, that,s perfect. I think Barcia is a rider that would be great on a 125, too bad the 125 nationals are gone. He can ride Laracco,s 250 pretty good too, but his wild riding style is perfect for a 125, you can get away with mistakes and ride though them. He is a agressive rider a big part of a successful 125 pilot, too bad he has to race a 250f, other wise he would be the hottest rider if he was racing a 125.

All Honda's 2T engineers are still employed and utilized elsewhere. Honda won't let them go or let them develop anything new on the 2T line. I can't remember the show or who they were talking to (Maybe it was a History of Honda motorcycles?) but the person was credible and flatly said the above. Honda won't let them develop anything new and won't let them go.
