I've long figured Pastrana was on borrowed time-and a waste of a talent as well.
I'd rather a full bottle in front of me than a full frontal lobotomy.

My brother has a friend whose relative is on the organ donor waiting list and this person asked his physician how long he would have to wait. The doctor replied "First warm day in Spring when the motorcyclists, atv'rs and the other crazies come out and you'll have your young warm body". :-X

the last one was something I have never seen before. Was that NASA or air force research? Too bad there wasn't a chase jumper to film from a bystander viewpoint! High enough to see the curvature of the horizon. Wonder how fast he got in freefall.  :o
Yamaha CT3, RT3, MX125, SC500, Toy Prius, Diesel F250 (it all balances out)

Wonder how fast he got in freefall.  :o

Terminal velocity i would say.
Interesting that he did not feel any wind rushing past because the air was so thin. :o
Imagine what you could think about with a 15 minute free fall. ::)

Actually, Joseph Kittinger was the first man to break the speed of sound, during his freefall he exceeded 600 mph which for the altitude was faster than the speed of sound.
aaahhhhh yes, I remember the good old days
