Its strange to see this video today.

I was riding at the PALA Main track today 6/26 and actually saw two riders going at it as well.  It was pretty shitty because I had my 3.5yr son and 2yr old daughter enjoying the day and this all unfolded in front of us.   Rider#2(I shall call him) was actualy tossing rocks at rider#1 when he was on the track (I didnt see this but several people said they saw it).  When rider#1 got off the track and put his bike on the stand he was quickly approached by rider#2 who pushed him to the ground.  Rider #1 wouldnt get up and fight which I applaud.  Rider#2 just got even more pissed and went over and knocked the guys bike off the stand and walked away.

Now I have no idea what happened on the track but this was a first for me to see and it wasnt cool to witness with my kids.  Starting to second guess motocross as a family sport.

Though it doesn't justify it,it happens in all sports. In a race situation, adrenaline and emotions are high and sometimes this crap happens when it normally wouldn't.Generally speaking, especially in amateur racing,I've always been impressed with the camaraderie, helpfulness and family atmosphere-with very few exceptions.
I'd rather a full bottle in front of me than a full frontal lobotomy.

What a sad video....

I've lost a lot of respect for Ryno... I thought the guy was more mature than that. Sure the other guy probably did something stupid on the track, but Ryno beat him by something near 30 seconds!

Just let it go.

What's worse are many of the comments on Vurb. Truly disturbing. Hopefully most of the comments were by 13 year olds.
Life is short.

I don't think these guys would be very proud of their actions if they saw this video.

Rex Staten had a temper shorter then the attention span of a two year old and was at a professional level in his boxing abilities,he was someone you wanted to steer clear of in a situation like this. ;D

Hughes has always been a cocky bugger. As for the fight, helmet or not,Lapaglia had the top position at the end and very well could have been putting the knuckles to Hughes-as others I know would have done  :-X

Exceptionally uncool. What in the hell did they think taking a swing was going to fix? Oh, yeah, weren't thinking.  Complete idiots. People, control yourselves. If you can't then go live in a cave.
Yamaha CT3, RT3, MX125, SC500, Toy Prius, Diesel F250 (it all balances out)
