Still 90's looking bike. Sorry. We are in 2010. Nothing new for the market. They sell used Japs two stroke bikes for peanuts.

looks good to me.Nice improvements.Surprised they didn't drop the sides of the tand down further.Will they have a bigger off road take available?Any pricing available?

Personally a "newer look" isn't gonna make me go faster or make my ride better.They lowered the cg some lightened it up some made it track better.Sounds goo.Mad says his bike handles nice so this might handle a little better yet.Long live the 2stroke.I think i would like to sell these.

I want the 620.  I hear the 685 pulls like a tractor, 4T style.  That's fine, but I'd want that bit of extra snap I hear the 620 provides.  I think I actually like this more than I like the 1980 model.  That's long been my least-favorite classic Maico year, but I still liked it more than the modern space-looking radiator new ones.  I think this one, with its aluminum tank, is finally catching up.  It might actually be even with the '82 for me, now.

Sorry for the double-post.

I just went to the MX Simulator forums and told everyone about the new Maico.  Very weird responses.  One guy said it looked like a Honda and Yamaha had sex with a mirror, and another guy thought that Maico's HP numbers looked too big for the displacement.  One guy even bet me $10 that the new bike couldn't handle and had no traction!

The question is, has anyone of them ridden one? We all know the answer..

The next question is do they even own a motocross bike at all? Or are they just keyboard commando's??

You run into the guys that think just because it doesn't have an aluminum frame that the bike is "dated".To each their own, but if you don't know what you're talking about why post negative comments?

I'd say about 90% of the guys there have bikes and ride them.  Some of them are still in the 85/150 class, but for the most part, everyone rides.  MX Simulator is a hard-core game that you will really never be good at unless you ride for real, or put in 2x as much time as anyone else.

But of course, none of them have ridden this bike (neither have any of us, as far as I know) and I can only name one guy there who's ridden an older Maico.  His username starts with a J and ends with an ETZcorp.  I'm sure there are others who've ridden them, but it's crazy-rare.

Also, they weren't all so negative.  I took all the negative bits and compressed it into that post.  There was other feedback to be seen.

"... That said, I wouldn't pass up the chance to ride one."

"Just wonder.You riding at the track,jumping whiping and stuff,gangsters shows up,they shoot into you,bulet hit aluminum gas tank,spark comes out and BAM! Explosion!  That would not happen with standart plastic gas tank."

I like the updates and think it looks sweet,After all,there's nothing wrong with YZ plastic :D.
So,let me check my list now..GasGas trials,TM144,2010 Maico.Hmmm,I wonder what the wife will say.....

 I personally love the new 2010 Maico's and of course I've never ridden one of the 2010's yet and I may never get to ride one of those awesome looking beast! I can only hope to one day.I have in the late 80's,early 90's owned and rode the iconic 1981 Maico mega-2 & that bike had a SICK powerband and quite frankly I wish I never sold that bike! I sold it in 1992 a year after my daughter was born. I needed the money severely at that time! I would love to own a 2010 Maico 500 mx but my only question is how much are they going to cost? I'm sure when I hear the price I'll really wish I still had my 81 490!!!

having owned and ridden honda,kawasaki,ktm,tm,yamaha,suzuki
allways looking for a new brand to try.

you brand loyal guys are missing out on some really fun and good bikes

Every time I think about buying an RM or KX or something, I always have this thought.

"Yeah that would be a nice bike to have.  But first, I need a '78 Maico, a '77 Maico, a '76 Maico, a '74 1/2 Maico, an '81 Maico, a '10 Maico, 750 Kawi triple, and then a 390 Husky.  Then I'll have it.  Oh wait, I also promised myself I'd get a Porsche Cayman, gotta take care of that."

Yeah JETZcorp.You sound alot like me,I'll get me a 2010 Maico 500 but it will have to be after I spend $280,000 0n a new Porsche Carrera GT !?$*^#@!!!!!!! ::)
