Not sure if true or not, so just a rumor. But sounds like the 2012 KTM's SX models will have linkage. Wonder if Charles could chat with the KTM test rider???  Maybe verify it..

All the '11 off road bikes have PDS.All the '11 SX models have linkage.
I'd rather a full bottle in front of me than a full frontal lobotomy.

Not true.  2 stroke '11 SX models have PDS

Saw a photo on another site of the 2012 EXC's, still PDS, but there
is a lot of talk all SX's will be linkage

Oops,you're right.Should have read 4t SX's.Ck out Short and Alessi's bikes at the Vegas race.

To clarify, I read 2 stroke SX models to get linkage, exc models to remain pds.

For off road the PDS. (at least for me) works great...  but I am old and slow. so...   :P

Got that, but found it interesting that they developed a whole new PDS frame from the 350EXC. -350SX has linkage..

PDS was KTM's Progressive Damping System-their name for a rear shock with no linkage.To get a rising rate it relies on the angle of the shock and needles in the shock body itself.Personally,I love the simplicity and the function 90% of the time-the other 10% can be pretty grim.
