my friend wants to buy a 125 and his dad told him 2 strokes arent used for anything and he'll put more money into one then he can imagine, i pointed out that theyre used everywhere except for motocross/supercross on a professional level he said i was wrong and that theyre a thing of the past

Direct injected 2Ts are the future and 4T$ (copyright Jetz) are the past.

Go the bergs. When a company that built itself of 4ts can make winning 2ts you know where te future is headed

That Rieju 250 is a 4 stroke.
Rieju is a Spanish brand. But pretty low-key if you ask me...
No comparison at all in performance or quality to TM/GasGas/KTM/Husqvarna/Husaberg.
So it's pretty darn good that this rider came in 5th. Coz it sure wasn't the quality of the Rieju that got him there. Rieju's are crap.

It'd be nice to see a stripped down MX version of the Berg.

Maybe someone would get their facts straight before saying the Rieju Marathon 250 is crap. It's a Gas Gas EC 250F with different colours. Yes, pretty much the exact same bike, with the exact same Yamaha engine. I even think it's made by Gas Gas in Spain.

So it's not a horrible bike, which means you should not shout about it being a piece of crap to people who do not know this brand. Which obviously you did not either.
I'm not angry, I just get upset because I read a lot of things here that are not based on facts or experience. You might have an opinion, but as long as it is not based on facts and experience, it's best kept to yourself.

Here are some facts and quite a few pictures for the ones interested in the bike.

Thank you, greetings from Finland.

Just to get the facts straight.

If a pair of 2" brass balls isn't working, I doubt that the 3" model will make much difference.

Really ?
I was unaware that this site was full of shit and no one knows what they are talking about.
Sorry Sachs but 40 years of experience means nothing. ;)

yep. All 4 strokes are crap, or mediocre at best... :P
Rieju is a pretty low key brand. I'm sorry if i offended some die-hard Rieju fanatics.
Heck, some people even claim Honda's or Kawi's are crap. But this is based on my own experience from the 2 Rieju's i owned. (a RS1 and RR) But hey, i was unexperienced and didn't have to pay them fully out of my own money...
Although ,these days, i still would choose any other brand over Rieju nowadays...
