I think I'm going to go with the omega neck brace instead for my son I don't like the part that rest on your spine if that part don't break on impact it could break your back. I've seen it happen to one kid already the omega spreads the pressure over the shoulders. :)

Yes it can break your back.... happened to me. However I would wear a foam neck roll before I wore the Omega or anything like it. My brother bought one and wore it once and sold it. It was the most god awful thing ever. More comfy wearing football pads

From what I've read the doc that helped design the omega is also one of the people who designed the leatt but wouldn't sign off on it because of the risk of spine injurys.

You will regret the Omega. It is terrible and it does not work like the leatt. I dont like the bionic but if i were to get anything other than a leatt it would be the bionic for sure. LEATT has been doing this longer than any of these other companies and they know their shit.

Well obviously leatt feels their design is safer in the long run, if they didn't feel that way they could change the back design with a snap of their fingers and they would obviously make a lot of money from that because people would have to go buy a new leatt. If I had to choose, I would go for a bionic. But I heard you can't wear that with a chest pro... I dont see why not... If it doesn't fit you can just cut the plastic. But leatt gives me the most performance for my dollar. 200 dollars to save a broken neck is well worth it. Still if I had the money for a bionic I would get that.
