00 YZ125 FINISHED!
« on: March 14, 2011, 02:41:46 PM »
I was way to anxious to wait any longer before showing this off. Higher res photos are coming later on...
I just finished it last night. However its not completely done, I still have a to add fluids, put the chain on and do all my final adjustments and tuning.

Work done:
Rebuilt linkage/shock and swingarm bearings
New Steering head bearings and races
New wheel bearings
Powdercoat Frame, clamps, and subframe
New topend, Clean powervalve, new reeds
New rad hoses and carb/fuel hoses
LGS suspension
Rebuilt wheels with new pro-wheel rims and painted hubs blue
All new plastics including tank, and updated front fender and # plate to 2010 yzf style
New bars, unbreakable levers, throttle tube etc.
Seat cover, FMF exhuast, custom limenine graphics, bars, shifter, case saver and frame protectors
Im forgetting more Im sure.
I cant wait to get this out to the track once the snow melts.

That was my plan at first...but it didnt fit in the budget...I ran out of money for any more cosmetic flair.

Sapper...Yes that is the fender and numberplate from a 2010 and 2011 yz450

Looks sweet man!! I would have opted for the CR style front brake hose routing it really does make a difference in feel. Motosport.com has the Ride Eng. kit, w/ stainless hose, # plate guide and bracket on sale right now for 89.99, the rear kit w hose and master cylinder extension is 74.00 free shipping on orders over $100
If a pair of 2" brass balls isn't working, I doubt that the 3" model will make much difference.

How well does the number plate fit?

It dosent fit at all! I had to add an inch spacer to the top mounting screw, as well as a longer screw.
The old style number plates had plastic nubs on the plastic that went into the clamps, the new style is reversed. so I had to fab up some small mounts to keep it in place at the bottom.

Thanks for the comments everyone.
