I wonder how a paddle tire would do in those conditions?

KTM, opferman tested dune tires in the snow... Conclusion: Never do it.

You have to run studded tires in Winter conditions - one frozen section and you are down if you don't have them.

That is 2010 Husqvarna WR 125, and we ride with tires like this

Crashing doesn't hurt cause there is so much snow on the ground, but if your leg or arm touches those tires.... :'(
