No its the equivelant to adding 2 on the rear,

that's 1 up front, 2 down rear
I prefer this gearing to the 1 extra tooth in the rear, it funny to gear up for tight woods, but I can use first gear now with this setup and it absolutely pulls like a Clydsedale with a rocket up it's ass out in the open.
