My favorite part of the article...

Q: What do we really think?

A: The 2011 Yamaha YZ250 two stroke is like an IQ test for the motorcycle buying public.  Are you smart enough to buy a bike that costs less, weighs less, makes more power per cubic centimeter, can be rebuild for recycled aluminum can money and is giggle inducing?  It is hard to believe that the American riding public flunks this test en masse.  How stupid are you?

Awesome MXA.  Awesome.

That quote strikes me as kind of ignorant...  I'm all for 2-strokes, but the main advantage to them right now is price.  I paid 1200 bucks for my CR.  Why would I feel like a smarter person for buying a 2011 YZ250 at 7,000+ from a dealer when it's no better than a 2010, which in turn is no better or different than a 2006?

Your missing the point. Lets say you were in the market for a new bike, $8k-9k for a 450 4t, or $6k-$7k for a new 250 2t. Any one can go buy a used bike for cheap.. ;D

Surprised this thread didn't get a whole lot of attention.

Yikes, quite a scathing ending to that article.  I'm glad they have the balls to put it out there so bluntly.

They're probably getting a lot of publicity from it. Good marketing strategy.
