« on: February 01, 2011, 04:00:44 PM »
For those that don't know Aussie is about to be hit by a category 5 Cyclone/Hurricane tonight.
It's going to hit Cairn's in Queensland (lovely place ) and it dosn't sound very good.
2.5m storm surge & 300kmh winds.

Good luck to all our Aussie brother's on here.

My uncle lives in townsville, not sure how bad they copped it. got an email from my mum.
They apparently evacuated their house and went to his son's place - my mum got a txt back before the storm hit, they were ok then.

The big worry for them is the tide. He lives in a place called Pallarenda, about 100 yards from the water. Magnetic island is jsut offshore, and apparently it was hit pretty hard.

And to top it off, their pet bird was eaten by a snake looking for shelter.

So still waiting on an update on how they are. The rest of my family is just north of sydney in newcastle, the temps there at the mo are 95-105. And here I am in upstate NY getting blizzarded on.

crazy world.

Apparently, Dodge has developed a cure for all the snow that's hitting the US right now.  They call it, "all wheel drive." :P

SNOWPOCALYPSE | Dodge AWD | Commercial

Is this Maico a 440 or only a 400?  Well in all the confusion, I forgot myself.
But considering this is a 1978 Magnum, the best-handling bike in the world, you have to ask yourself one question.
Do you feel lucky, punk?

I live in a village up in the mountains and it is not unusual for parents to bring their children to school with a snowmobile or,in my case, an ATV. ;D
