Ringless. Minimum piston/cylinder expansion differential. 30% lighter reciprocating mass. High thermal loads. Longer lasting. HIGH RPM.

I don't know what it will take but I know I like it, that article mentioned the proposed motor would be AIR COOLED     ;D

Sounds like what designers have tried with ceramics.
I like the bit about less piston rocking on four strokes.
But wouldn't they need skirts first. ;)
