It's 2011 where is the Maico....
« on: January 07, 2011, 02:24:58 AM »
I really don't mean for this post to sound sarcastic as I am a huge Maico fan. We were told to wait and wait, and that they would buck the trend by actually releasing a 2011 in 2011.
Ok, it's 2011, sure it's early days but does anyone have any info as to when the bikes will actually be released?

The Maico site which was updated quite frequently with news reports hasn't seen any updates for almost a month now.
Is the release just around the corner?

I'm sure we'll hear something soon, but I have to agree with you. Anyone heard anything? How cool would it be for Maico to have a sponsored rider or team for this year or next?

The last I heard Dirt Wurx is still planning on importing them, I will post press releases as they come.

I imagine there's not much more to say.

"Once again, we are displeased to report that we are STILL working through this thousand-pound stack of paperwork that's required to import something into the United States, and we can report that indeed as you suspected, your tax dollars are being used to make life more miserable for everyone.  We're sorry for the wait."

Is this Maico a 440 or only a 400?  Well in all the confusion, I forgot myself.
But considering this is a 1978 Magnum, the best-handling bike in the world, you have to ask yourself one question.
Do you feel lucky, punk?

Shame on you all for questioning the importation of the the '09,er..'10...um..'11 Maico's-shame,shame.The 2012's are just around the corner and will be bigger, badder and better- and will be here next January-guaranteed :D
On the other hand, the Chinese don't have many issues with importation reg's.
I'd rather a full bottle in front of me than a full frontal lobotomy.

Oh yeah, I'm sure Maico is intentionally trying to delay the release of their product onto the largest market for it in the world, just to alienate its potential customers and therefore make money... by magic... and stuff.
 ???
