BTW, does FMF support 2 strokes? I thought I read somewhere that ProCircuit does but FMF is pretty much behind 4 Strokes.

Well, they are one of the main sponsors of the few 2t races at US nationals,in the last few years.

They actually advertise specifically for 2ts - you might remember the various ads using expansion chambers in various 'poses'.

He shows 2t pipes being made, and makes a point about them being a key part of the business, still. I've a few mates who work at the OZ FMF distributors, and they sell a LOT of 2t pipes - 2 particular 2t bikes pipes are still, regularly, amongst the  biggest selling pipes they have.

Of course the main market is 4t oriented. With the investment in machinery required to do 4t systems, you need to sell a lot. By the way, check out the Akrapovic website, for their facilities. Makes FMFs set up look like a third world set up. Mind you, it's makes most production facilities look pretty rough. :D

It's good to see they actually make their own products - many 'manufacturers' don't.

If the 20% discount doesn't apply to 2ts, I think that's a good indication of what they are having to try damned hard to keep moving out the door. It's certainly a bummer that we don't get a bit of a price cut. I think Dubachs doing the same thing at the moment.

Like KTM, I think FMF are quietly very happy, and secretive, about just how big a part of their profit centre the 2t represents.

I actually thought you post may have finally been showing the various Maico innovations we have been waiting on, as we have just got into January, 2011. ;) :'(
