Found an awesome dirt bike cleaner
« on: December 21, 2010, 08:01:54 AM »
PURPLE POWER cleaner/degreaser. This stuff just makes the dirt and grime melt off. I first blasted my bike with high pressure water and then applied this stuff, let it sit for 5 minutes and rinsed. Looks like I detailed my whole bike, but never even touched it. I will be using this stuff from now on. Just thought you guys would like to know. Even makes the rims shiney!

You are right, Purple Power is tremendously powerful. Unfortunately that is also it's downfall.

Repeated washings remove the shine from plastics. Anodizing starts to dull. The more you wash with it the more beat up and used your machine becomes.

Just my 2 cents...

I use Purple Power in my parts washer, it is good stuff.
Since it is really good stuff, I would not recommend repeated use either. :)
Awesome for rebuilds. Bad for regular cleaning. :)

Hmmm. Didn't realize it was that harsh. What do you guys recommend for a scrub-free wash?

I like Simple Green diluted 50/50 with water, and I don't use a pressure washer, just a regular garden hose.

While it's sort of self-serving, I highly recommend Pro Clean cleaning products. Pro Clean has been engineered specifically for cleaning dirt bikes.

Please read the testimonials from satisfied customers.
