O.K. being an Aussie, I'd have to say;

1. Stephen Gall. (Australian version of Bob Hannah, took MX to the next level in the '70s/'80s
2. Damon Bradshaw.( Loved his attitude. Loved his "battles" with Matachivich, wonder what the AMA would have to say about the blatant take out moves of the '92 supercross series.)
3. Bad Brad Lackey. ( Too cool for school, still holds the title for the coolest helmet paint job- '82 flamejob)

1)Bob Hurricane Hannah
2)Roger Decoster
and last but not least
3)Joe Bolger http://www.motorcyclemuseum.org/halloffame/hofbiopage.asp?id=312
I'm friends with Joe's daughter Darcy, and when visiting a few years ago he gave us a tour of his workshop (incredible) and a ride in the 1917 Pierce Arrow he restored (even more incredible). Besides being a hall of famer, he's a mechanical genius and inventor, and is a big part of motocross history.

Shoot, this is tough.  How far back are we going?  I suppose if Chandler qualifies you gotta admire a 3rd string unqualified guy arriving on the scene and owning everyone like he did at the des nations.

Broc Glover
Rick Johnson
Ron Lechien

Not a big race follower, but these 3 stick out right now. A new one I'm following though not old school exactly who needs a special mention: Mike Leavitt

The AMA 4 stroke displacement rule is simply the AMA's Rich Kid's Handicap Rule!

I'd rather a full bottle in front of me than a full frontal lobotomy.

Just three??I'm goin with four one for the 60's, 70's 80's and 90's
Malcom Smith
Bob Hannah
Jeff Ward
Jeremy McGrath

If a pair of 2" brass balls isn't working, I doubt that the 3" model will make much difference.

John Penton.(know him since 1962 ISDT Germany)
Malcolm Smith ( know him since 1971 Berkshire Trials Massachussets.)

Great choices and ones I would pick as well  :) .
