Not me either. As much as I love RM's,there is nothing really special or rare about it.If I remember correctly,it was about another $400 new for the RC graphics, seat etc. It's not like there is a special production # for an RC edition or something.Anyone could do the same to a regular RM and it would, quite literally,be exactly the same.
If I was to buy one,I'd strip the RC plastic and put on regular stuff.I like RC but wouldn't ride with a replica of someone elses bike.
I'd rather a full bottle in front of me than a full frontal lobotomy.

If it really is brand new and un-ridden, that wouldn't be a bad price for around here. I just saw a well used '07 the other day for $3500. Crazy.

Nice bike though, I like it!

Nice looking RM-250 but I looked at one just like it a few years back at my local Yamaha/Suzuki dealership and I'd have to agree with Ford even though I'm a RC fan I still can't see spending the extra $$$ for a bike with someone else's number on it. If I wanted another RM-250 I would buy a regular one & put my own graphics on it.... ;D

I'd be more likely to buy a TM250 than an RM250.  And yes, I'm talking about the Suzuki TM250. :)

Is this Maico a 440 or only a 400?  Well in all the confusion, I forgot myself.
But considering this is a 1978 Magnum, the best-handling bike in the world, you have to ask yourself one question.
Do you feel lucky, punk?

Speaking of crazy prices, old cr and kx 500's (late '80's to mid 90's) value has shot through the roof in the last 12 months here in Aussie.

Old dungers fetchin' $5 to $6 k easy.

Damn! Are late 80s KTM 500s worth anything in oz, or do people run away screaming due to parts? :p Should I send this one back or just the engine to drop in a late model frame or something for the track - I'd rather not go to the trouble if it is not worth it
