Reasons for 2 strokes not coming back?

It would be nice to see a proper test done.
The Aussie mags have done a few tests on TM's but always the Enduro's not MX's.
It would be great to see a full test of 250's with TM's,Yz's,RM's,KTM, etc.
You are right about the big mag's worried about their advertising dollar.
But with alot of countries adopting the 250=250 rule it is about time they did.
We are the one's buying bikes, Not the pro's.

Just had a guy come into the shop tonight, I am a professional tattoo artist and own a shop. He asked me about my DR650s and if I had any other bikes.
Me:"2007 Kx250-"
Him:"the four stroker?"
Me:"HELL NO!"
Him:"I have a YZ450, it's way too much, I love the hit on a 250 2stroke."
Me:"The sell it and get a 250 2stroke."
Him:"Yamaha only makes the 85 now."
Me:" who told you that BS ?"
Him:"The sales man down at the Yamaha shop."
Me:"Which one?"
Him"So&SO"
Me:" That guy is full of sh#t, they still make and import the 125 and the 250, that a@#hat doesn't even ride a motorcycle. Go talk to So&So, trade the grenade in on a new yz250, you'll have to order it. If you don't want to wait, you can find them used in good shape, and rebuild the topend for $150. How many hours are on your 450?"
Him:" IDK it's and 06"
Me:" rebuild it now, don't wait till next week, order the piston kit tonight from ****sport.com, they will ship it free over night, call me when you get it, I will install it for you, and break it in properly. While I have it, post it on Craigslist, and start looking for a 250 2st. I saw at least 20 different ones today all well under $3500."

Now hopefully he'll do it, but he won't,he also stated that he has a ti-carbon fiber exhaust

My good news is that Texas is going Red (referring to the maps on voting night with MSNBC or FOX) I've been doing what I've been preaching, and can say, so far, GNC MX, TORN, TORCS have gone to cc for cc, and I'm working on TORO.  That should set precident in Texas and it will fall soon.  I really think we need magazines to print full shootouts for this to work, so please send emails.  I have.

Gas Gas enduro 250 is a sweet ride, the bar bend is real straight though, I didn't care for them but the rest of the bike was sweet!!!!!!!
